(This simple web-based utility will allow you to test the download and upload speed of your Internet connection.  This tool is a real help before you embark on any download of size.  Remember also that your speed will vary widely throughout the day. Once on the page, select SmarTest to have the service select the right test for you.)

DaFont

(This website offers hundreds of free fonts for downloading.  What is most helpful is the ability to type in a word and see what the word looks like in the font before going to the trouble of downloading, installing and then trying out the font.)
